BODY
House for soul and spirit.
1 Corinthians 6:19 – “Do you not know that your body is the temple of the HOLY SPIRIT who lives within you.”
SOUL
I. Emotions
Where I feel things: hate, fear, jealousy, lust, shame love (Phileo—brotherly love and Eros—sexual love).
II. Reason
Ideas
Where I reason or think things out.
SPIRIT
Desire Love
I. Agape-Agapo = God’s love
John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that He
gave His only begotten son.
Luke 6:27 – “Love your enemies.”
II. Will – choices made here.
Sin has its root here
Matthew 26:39 – “Not as I will but as thou wilt.”
III. Mind – My knowing Spirit knowing
