SEVENTH BRITISH SPRING CONFERENCE 1993

Every year we end up saying, "This has been the best conference yet." This year was no exception, so I’m excited about next year already!

Why do I think this was the best so far? I guess Tom Prewitt summed it up adequately a few minutes before the end by saying, "This is the first conference where everyone present shared something of their new seeing as a direct result of being there." Most who attended are writing something themselves about what was meaningful to them so I won’t go into those kind of details.

The striking thing that made it the best and also the most different was the realization for many that the time has come to live fully in the light of all that has been learned and absorbed over the years and to start looking outward rather than inward. Where can we be, and take the truth to others, rather than just looking for some answer that makes life easier for us?

As Page said, "We need to get this show on the road!" It was obvious we have all the light and information we need and it is now time to get the focus on others, on the world at large, and the many Christians who are living completely defeated lives. God sets us free in order to go and set others free. The stories shared were testimony to the saving and life-changing power of Jesus Christ, sometimes in mundane everyday things but mostly in what had seemed insurmountable life problems. New folks and those who had been around for some time, all testified to the fact that God can do and had done what they could not do themselves. This is not some remote miracle, but God Himself working in and through believers as they dare to believe that the All Sufficient Christ lives in them to do and to will of His good pleasure.
