JACKSON, MS CONFERENCE

Well, It’s conference time in Jackson again, but something major has changed. Quite a few of our number have moved to NC, leaving a handful of Jacksonians to carry on the message. It seemed like a huge responsibility, but if we truly believe it is Christ in us doing the work and we are all the same person, then we are just doing the next thing to get the task accomplished.

It was fun to see how the "new crop" of doers responded to the situation. We had great teamwork to make everything come together, including the men in the kitchen helping to prepare dinners. Friday night we discussed how the idea of one person in the universe becomes applicable on a personal level and how it lives out. We also discussed the ideas of body, soul, and spirit. We so often get caught in the "soulular" or feelings part of our lives without knowing what to do with them. We learned that God uses our feelings to push us to faith-i.e., from soul to spirit. For example: "I" am jealous-No, I’m not a just me. Christ/I feels jealous, but I’m 100% for others, whole, complete and lacking nothing.

Saturday we got a capsule review of The Fall of Man and how that pertains to each of us and how we are redeemed by the cross. In other words, by asking Christ to come into our hearts so that the "old man"-Satan-is gone forever from the inside and the "new man"-Christ-takes up permanent residence in us.

Saturday afternoon we broke into small groups to discuss what we had heard. Saturday evening Brenda Lutrull and I gave our testimonies, and how we came to know the message of total truth. Sunday we shared current problems that were going on with any of us, and discussed solutions to them.

It was a great conference with many things being revealed about how God lives out each detail in our lives. This "new crop" of doers got to live out each "jot and tittle" of putting on the Jackson conference.
