Thanks to ideas generated at the March annual Zerubbabel business meeting, we have added three new columns to The Intercessor. "Bible Study," written by Becca Glaser, will present the biblical foundations of our union with Christ. Becca is an avid student of the Scripture and part of our ministry here in Boone. Our second new column, "Zerubbabel Focus," sprang out of the organizational chart of our ministry that you will find in this issue. As we reviewed the chart, we thought our readers might like a closer look at the different aspects of Zerubbabel Ministries. Finally, "Area Fellowship News" will introduce you to some of the people who get together regularly to encourage one another in applying the truth of Christ-in-you to the challenges of daily living. In each issue, this column will present a glimpse at what goes on in local fellowships around the country.
 
Questions about sin dominate this month’s issue. The lead article defines "The Cutting Edge" of our message: we can’t truly know who we are in Christ until we understand who we were before we were born again-Satan-operated vessels. The small excerpt from Alphabet Soup, "Satan’s Lie," and Jamie Resset’s review of "Faith Creates a Reality" explore the mechanics of unbelief. "Questions and Answers" and Brett Burrowes’ "About Unconditional Love…" clear up common confusion about God’s solution for sin. Laura Hawley’s testimony provides a real-life example of how we get into sin and how we can get out of it.

Finally, Page Prewitt’s insight in "How It Really Works" should be of great encouragement. Using her own experiences, Page provides the key to living a responsible, purposeful life through learning to discern between soul ("I don’t want to…") and spirit ("…but because of Who I am, I can").
