Norman Grubb begins this comprehensive series with a personal account of his quest to find the answer to how to live the Christian life. He takes the listener step-by- step through the foundations of what Paul describes as the “mystery hidden through the ages.” Tackling the question, What is a person? Norman begins to unravel the secret of the universe: that we do not run ourselves. We are only operated by the Spirit within, the spirit of truth or the spirit of error. This has radical implications which Norman proceeds to describe. He touches on the necessity of opposites, the role of freedom, and as a result the creation of evil. After a wonderfully insightful look at temptation, Norman explains the three levels of faith described in 1 John, before drawing from his own experiences to show what he has learned intercession to mean: commission, cost, completion.
