THEY’RE HERE!
Dear Friends,
It’s been such a privilege to be part of the team working on Who Am I?, the first of several of Norman Grubb’s books we are re-publishing. Many years before I moved to our headquarters here in Boone, NC, many of us had spoken a word of faith that books would be published from our Total Living Center. And now we have the books here and ready to order!

ENCOURAGING NOTES
Dear Ones in Christ:
Just a note of thanks for the Christmas card and booklet. I surely could relate to Page Prewitt’s road to the Total Truth.
I met Norman many years ago–about 35 years ago and knew he had something in his life I didn’t have, or thought I didn’t, so on I walked with the Lord through many trials lead–to the Total Truth. I’m sure all of us have a story to tell.
What a loving Father we have.
Grace be unto you all,

Dear Sirs:
I wanted to thank you for the very special Christmas card that I received from you. It seems, as God’s timing always is, to have come at a time when I needed to read it. Thank you so much.
Sincerely,
Ileta Coley
Dear Friends,
We enjoyed Alphabet Soup which you sent us at Christmas. We appreciate The Intercessor very much, as well.
Love in Christ,
Helen
Greetings to you all:
I have been blessed by Norman’s teachings–through pamphlets and books. I had received the magazine up until the September/October, 1996 issue and for some reason it stopped. I have missed it very much. If you could kindly put my name back on your list, It would be much appreciated.
It is also wonderful to see books coming back into print. I am thankful for you all. Please keep the truth coming forth!
In Christ

GETTING HONEST
3/10/97
Hello Mom,
I have a tough time matching up our schedules. Let me get to the point. Recently there has been a lot of dishonesty going on and I briefly suggested it to Vicki last night. Things are pretty scary up here with fears about school, rebellion, and putting things ahead of God. I read a lot this weekend from Summit Living and also from the book of Proverbs that you sent me. I love reading them very much and thank you for giving them to me.
I read your article about the "Contract" in The Intercessor and felt very proud that you are my mom. It gives new meaning to the term "binding contract." It made me think of how I have bought Satan’s lie that it is easier to ignore the issues that make me uncomfortable and not rock the boat because it "feels" better. Satan’s lie has made several friends but very few Christ-friends. Day by day, I see more of what God’s purpose is for me. Things are getting out of control and my future, as things are going now, looks very bleak. I feel a desperation I haven’t felt since the first time I became a Christian. I want to be self-for-others and I want to do Christ’s bidding because it is the only way that I know how to live correctly. Not just I living out but Christ-I living. I apologize that this is so jumbled and I do very much want to talk to you. I have to go to class now and I hope to talk to you tonight.
Love, Jim

Hi Mom,
I just wanted to tell you for the first time in a long time I did the next right thing all day. I also found the two biggest obstacles to overcome and that is saying things that people want to hear and the fear of asking for help. I hope to talk to you soon but I usually do not get home until 10 p.m. this week. Have a good week.
Love,
Jim

Dear Jim,
Wow! Thank you so much for opening up to me. I’ve been concerned about you for some time now but also knew that, other than being there when you reach out, there is little else I can do but believe that "He that has begun a good work in you will perform it." I love both your messages confession about your fears and then success one day at a time. I’ll write more later.
Love,
Mom
NEGATIVES, THE SPRINGBOARD TO FAITH
[The following letter is an exerpt from a reply to a discouraged believer in which the writer clearly explains Satan’s battle plan and the way to victory. ]It’s painful to watch you and your sister spinning in further fruitless self-effort. Satan has you propelled into a frantic whirlwind that suggests to me that you are both on the threshold of a major spiritual awakening–otherwise he wouldn’t be bombarding so intensely! I have wanted to ditch this truth many times in the past–really ditching God, and allowing Satan to have his way. And this was always when there was either sin in my life that God was dealing with, or when I’d gotten a painful glimpse of my own rottenness and not wanted to face the painful truth about myself.
The glorious truth about God and His game plan is understanding that we are mere vessels with only one function–to express the desires of our spirit-operator, either Christ or Satan, as deter-mined by our faith choice. Our part is to dare to believe that Christ is living out His life by us as God planned for us, and to know that when we don’t believe that truth or are deceived into believing that we have an independence apart from Christ, it is Satan’s desires that unfold by us.
We can’t take pride in the apparent "good," or condemnation in the evident "bad." it is all either Christ or Satan. To know and understand that is total freedom; we’ve been clued in to the secret of the universe! You caught on to that–I know you did!
You don’t have to be clutching in fear and anxiety because God is totally in control and wants only the best for you. Neither do you have to be gripped with pain over taking an honest look at yourself and any Satan deceptions you’ve bought into because, as painful or difficult as this may be temporarily, it’s valuable information for a future understanding of how Satan will likely trip you up in your "soft spots" later.
Be willing to put your cards on the table, sharing the real life fears and frustrations that have you in confusion and turmoil. 0nly then can you close the door on the soulish storm that so easily pulls us all off the truth. I am available to you at any time you are interested.
Love in Christ,
Linda
