Zerubbabel Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit Christian ministry incorporated in 1982 and based in Blowing Rock, NC (USA). The special focus of our ministry is bringing the truth and understanding of the Christian's union with Christ, as described in the Bible, to Christians around the world. The name Zerubbabel is from the Old Testament. Zerubbabel is mentioned in the books of Ezra, Nehemiah, and 1 Chronicles. Zerubbabel laid the foundation of the second temple (after the first temple was destroyed by the Persians). We believe the mystery hidden through the ages which is Christ in you the hope of glory will be a new foundation of the Christian church today as more and more Christians come to understand this liberating secret.
Our History
The spiritual and doctrinal roots of our ministry rest solely in the inspired and infallible Scriptures of the Holy Bible. Our spiritual foundations trace back to several great men of God: Hudson Taylor, C.T. Studd, Norman Grubb, and Rees Howells. In the late 1800’s Hudson Taylor blazed missionary trails in China and had a tremendous influence on the life of a young Cambridge student and cricket champion, C.T. Studd, who himself became a well-known missionary pioneering in China, India and the heart of Africa.
Norman Grubb followed C.T. Studd to Africa, marrying one of his daughters, and later carried on his Worldwide Evangelization Crusade back in Great Britain. During that time, he met the remarkable man of faith, Rees Howells, who deeply influenced Mr. Grubb’s life and spiritual understanding. Norman Grubb spent the last 30 years of his life in the United States carrying on a tireless ministry of writing, traveling, and corresponding as he shared his profound understanding of the Christian’s spiritual union with Christ, summarized in Galatians 2:20 and revealed throughout all Scripture.
In the course of his ministry, Mr. Grubb and several others had a vision for a magazine that would serve to share the deeper implications of our union with Christ. Mr. Grubb and small group of fellow believers launched such a magazine in 1985, calling it The Intercessor. Out of this vision grew Zerubbabel Press, dedicated to publishing works by Norman Grubb and others whose primary emphasis is the truth of Gal. 2:20.
