Moments With Meryl
Coming home from work one wet, dark, Monday evening, the traffic came to a halt. It was 40 minutes before it really got moving again! At first, I felt irritated and frustrated; I didn’t even have a radic to listen to. "OK, Meryl, God means even this to be. Yes, that’s right God has brought this to me and Christ is living His life as me. Sit back, relax and unwind from the day–a God given opportunity." I had time to reflect upon things, time to smell the roses (really petrol fumes!). I’d always known someone had said life is an adventure. Well everybody else’s might be, but quite frankly, mine always appeared a chore. "Now give this one some thought, Meryl. If you’re really believing Christ is living as you, and consequently living from spirit, not soul feelings, you are just beginning to experience what potential this truth affords." OK, it might mean difficulties and problems, like scripture promises, but life is no longer dull and boring, but full and stimulating. Satan said "Who are you kidding, keep going like this and you’ll be exhausted; slow down, you need to get some rest." "Well, I’ve thought and lived from that all my life, and look where it’s got me. Nowhere! Well, I have the mind of Christ and the choice is made to think a new way–the old has gone, the new, abundant life is here and I’m enjoying coming out of bondage!"
